Mantra - The Fear: Behind The Scenes (Part 1)

A few weeks back we launched the video for Mantra's latest single The Fear (check it out here if you haven't already). Mantra not only acts in Play It Safe, but has also put a lot of work into the film's soundtrack, so it was a real pleasure to be able to continue collaborating with him. A lot of Play It Safe's core creative team (including DP Sherwin Akbarzadeh and editor Raechel Harding) also came on board with this video, so it was very much a family affair which was great.

This was definitely the most ambitious video I've ever directed, and it required a massive effort for a very large cast and crew. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out and I'm very very grateful to all the wonderful folks who brought it to life.

I thought I'd put together a bit of a visual breakdown of what went on behind the scenes of this crazy project. There's quite a lot of stuff so I'm going to split it up into a couple of posts. For now, here's some shots from pre-production and the first day of shooting. Make sure you tune back in next week for the remainder.
